Zapier Triggers

OVERVIEW

A Zap is an automated workflow that tells your connected apps to follow this simple command: "When this happens, do that." Every Zap has a trigger and one or more actions. A trigger is an event that starts a Zap. When creating a zap, you can set it up that (1) an event in your Pluto LMS triggers an action in your connected app, or (2) an event in your connected app triggers an action in your Pluto LMS. 

AVAILABLE PLUTO LMS TRIGGERS

Pluto LMS offers the following pre-configured trigger events for you to use when creating zaps:
  1. New User Created
      Triggers your zap when a new user is created in your Pluto LMS.
  1. New Course Enrollment
      Triggers your zap when a user is enrolled into a specified course that exists in your Pluto LMS. 
Note: to specify the course that must trigger your zap, you will need the Course ID. See this support document to learn where to find Course IDs.
  1. New Course Created
      Triggers your zap when a new course is created in your Pluto LMS. 
  1. New User Segment Created
      Triggers your zap when a new user segment is created in your Pluto LMS. 
  1. New Group Created
      Triggers your zap when a new course group is created in a specified course that exists in your Pluto LMS.
Note: to specify the course that must trigger your zap, you will need the Course ID. See this support document to learn where to find Course IDs.
  1. New User in User Segment
      Triggers your zap when a user us added to an existing user segment in your Pluto LMS. 
Note: to specify the user segment that must trigger your zap, you will need the User Segment (Cohort) ID. See this support document to learn where to find User Segment IDs.
  1. New Calendar Event
      Triggers your zap when a new calendar event is created in your Pluto LMS.

SETTING UP A PLUTO LMS TRIGGER 


Step 1: After connecting Pluto LMS to Zapier, (1) select Pluto LMS as your trigger app and (2) select your trigger event from the drop-down list.



Step 2: Choose your connected Pluto LMS account from the drop-down list. 



Step 3: Test your trigger to confirm that the right account is connected to Zapier and your setup is correct.



You will see a confirmation message if your trigger is successful. 



You can now scroll down and click "Continue" to add an action step to your zap.
